Reading Addiction Blog Tours MEET and GREET

#1 – Do You See Writing as a Career?
Absolutely. I am a full time writer and author, and I feel very fortunate to be one that
can make a decent living off what I do. I have my own publishing business (Midnight
Engel Press, LLC) and I have a schedule which I adhere to religiously. I write seven
days per week and along with my business partner, we do all my marketing. I love doing
blog tours because it allows me to meet new people and also share my work with a wider
audience. I am always thinking about expansion and thus this is not only a full time job
but a career I love and cherish.

#2 – What was the Hardest Part of Your Writing Process?
The hardest part of the writing process is telling a story that not only is technically
correct (proper grammar, spelling, editing) but also engages the reader and makes them
feel emotions they wouldn’t normally feel for characters that I have created. If I have
entertained and allowed someone to escape from their everyday lives when they read my
stories then I consider myself to have done a very good job.

#3 – Did you have any One Person Who Helped You Out with Your Writing
Outside of Your Family?
I have a whole team of people who help me and that would be my writing friends in
the different groups I belong to. We all live in different states and all across the country
but we have aided one another tremendously. My biggest supporters are some of my
writing friends and if they are also entertained (believe me, it is hard to entertain writers
who are also voracious readers and notice little things most readers don’t) then I feel an
overwhelming sense of gratification. I love my group of friends and feel very grateful to
have them in my life.

One of my biggest supporters is also a writer in a different genre and she has helped me
tremendously. We prop one another up when the other is feeling down and we constantly
discuss the challenges of writing a compelling and entertaining story.

#4 – What is next for your writing?
My mind is a complete and total whirl of energy. I feel like my greatest challenge is
writing in all the different genres I have tried out. I have written paranormal romance,
romantic suspense, contemporary erotic romance, a dystopian novel and now I am
moving into New Adult. I have two novels coming out in the next couple of months
which are both New Adult: Undertow, which is a stand alone and the second novel in The
Atonement Series, Only Love.

#5 – Do you have an addiction to reading as well as writing? If so, what are you
currently reading?

I don’t think it is possible to be a good writer without being a reader and I absolutely love
reading all genres. At the present, I just finished a great erotic romance novella, Beg by
CD Reiss; I am now reading You Only Live Twice by Christopher Smith.
