Tour Kick Off - Meet and Greet - Just This Once by Rosalind James

Today is the Kick Off of the Just This Once Virtual book Tour!

Contemporary Romance
Date Published: 8/30/12

Everyone needs to be rescued sometimes.

Everyone but Hannah Montgomery, that is. She just needs a vacation. Three weeks in New Zealand to sort out her life, figure out what she wants, seems just right. Oh, and to relax. She should definitely put that on the agenda. She certainly isn't looking for a fling with a professional rugby player, no matter how attractive he is. Hannah doesn't do casual. But maybe just this once. . .

Drew Callahan is happy to help Hannah find all the fun she's been missing. But as much as he's shared with her, he's kept one very big secret. And learning the truth, now that she's back home again, has made Hannah warier than ever. Drew knows that she's right for him. But how can he convince her to let down her guard enough to explore what they could have together?

Rosalind James is the author of three romance/women’s fiction novels in the "Escape to New Zealand" series, and is hard at work now on the fourth book. A marketing professional and publishing industry veteran, she has lived all over the United States and in a number of other countries, traveling with her civil engineer husband. Most recently, she spent several years in Australia and New Zealand, where she fell in love with the people, the landscape, and the culture of both countries.
Rosalind self-published the first three books in the “Escape to New Zealand” on August 31, 2012, and offered the first book, “Just This Once,” as a free download through Amazon’s Kindle Select program on September 7. The book was downloaded over 14,500 times in three days, reaching #2 in Women’s Contemporary Fiction, #7 in all Romance, and #23 among all free Kindle books. Within four days of the promotion, James had sold over 800 books, and “Just This Once” had reached #82 in Women’s Contemporary Fiction in the Amazon store. James credits the book’s overnight success to the fact that “everyone would like to escape to New Zealand! I know I did!”

Reading Addiction Blog Tours MEET and GREET

#1 – Do You See Writing as a Career?
You bet. I’ve been a professional writer for some years now, but once I started writing
fiction, it was the only thing I wanted to do!

#2 – What was the Hardest Part of Your Writing Process?
The only hard part is trusting in my characters, trusting my story to unfold in the way
it wants to. If I start worrying about what somebody else will think of it, I freeze up.
Especially when I’m writing a love scene!

#3 – Did you have any One Person Who Helped You Out with Your Writing Outside of
Your Family?
I have four people who’ve been the first to read every book. They’ve told me what they
want to see more of, and sometimes, what isn’t working. They have judgment I trust,
honesty I count on, and the patience of Job, to read and re-read. One of them is even a
man, which makes it even better.

#4 – What is next for your writing?
I’m working on Book Four in the Escape to New Zealand series right now. After that, I’m
not sure. I have an idea for a story set in the United States—but not set just anywhere. It’s
a premise I haven’t seen before. That’s all I’m saying right now.

#5 – Do you have an addiction to reading as well as writing? If so, what are you currently
reading?
Oddly enough, I’ve read much less since I started writing—because I already have a
story in my head all the time. But when I do read, it tends to be thrillers, mysteries, and
nonfiction. I love Lee Child and David Rosenfelt. And I do most of my reading in audio
format, so I can read while I clean house, exercise, etc.

This or That?

#1 - iPd or Mp3? I have a serious iPod addiction. Music is my major writing expense. I
have a playlist for every book.

#2 – Chocolate or Vanilla? Chocolate all the way!

#3 – Mashed Potatoes or French Fries? Oh dear. French fries. I eat pretty well, but yeah,
that’s a weakness.

#4 – Comedy or Drama? Always comedy. Life is hard enough.

#5 – Danielle Steel or Nicholas Sparks? Neither, I’m afraid! I prefer my romance well
leavened with humor. I love Susan Elizabeth Phillips.

#6 – Fantasy or Reality? Reality—or should I say, “reality enhanced.”

#7 – Call or Text? Text. I tend to look for excuses not to talk on the phone. Comes from a
career in marketing, probably.

#8 – Public School or Home School? Public school. I home schooled for a couple years
out of necessity. Man, that’s hard!

#9 – Coffee or Hot Chocolate? Oh dear, I’m confessing to another weakness here. Too
much coffee (mostly decaf, I promise, Doctor!)

#10 – eBook or Paperback? I love paperbacks. You can’t take an eBook into the bathtub.
